Salvaged Wood All of our woods are salvaged, which means they are scraps and leftover waste from industrial processes like hardwood door manufacturers, flooring installers, and guitar makers, lumber from hurricane and tornado salvage, city trees being removed, and fallen backyard trees. It brings us great joy to breathe new life into these woods that were otherwise headed towards a landfill or wood chipper.
FSC Certified Wood We also purchase much of our wood from a lumber retailer that specializes in the sales of wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. This includes tropical hardwoods from community managed forests in Mexico and Guatemala as well as domestic hardwoods from family-owned plantations here in the U.S. The FSC certification process is the best tool we have to ensure that our forests and plantations are managed in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner thereby supporting the health of communities and promoting biodiversity. Our goal is to create unique, hand-crafted furniture that you are proud of and that feels good.
